Today I’m going photograph Angie and Chris’s wedding in Baton Rouge and I’m so excited, Sarah will be able to come tag along and assist me. It’ll be so nice spending a whole day with her, even though I’m working!
Angie and Chris are a sweet couple. When we did their engagement photos this past March around the old state capitol – you could feel the love between them!
Loved how their photos came out and can’t wait to see how their wedding day looks!

CT Karnowski, a good friend of mine and was also a groomsman in my wedding, hired me to do his parents photos while I (and them) were visiting DC at the same time. I always loved taking photos of parents/older people who usually “don’t feel the need” for having photographs done of them. I think they are so much fun – they’re more in touch with themselves and really just know how to lighten up and have some fun!

you’ll see this backdrop often in my Glen Echo shoots, it just had this radiant RED that was too sweet to not shoot with! The Cuddle Up will pop up in some “couples” shots – I just loved the backgrounds here!

I did Alex’s senior portraits yesterday afternoon. Alex is the daughter of an old transliterator I had growing up here in town, Mrs. Kathi. Mrs. Kathi has been such a special person in my life and I like to say she helped me “become who I am” in her own way.

I finally caught up with pre-DC shoots and just finished the first DC edit.
Heidi & Sebastian – a cool mommy & son duo met up with me @ the Cherry Blossom area (which was a pain in the ass because of the mega huge crowds but we got great shots netherless!).
Baby Gollner is just adorable! Her parents are Ryan and Moey – who are a sweet couple from up North who have made Louisiana their home. They’ve hired me quite a few times within such a short period of time so some great clients, they are!

We had so much fun doing Hannah’s senior session a few weeks ago! I always love shooting for the Fletcher family (one of my long time loyal clients who have supported me from day one!). I have shot Ms. Pat’s children since they were lil kids, senior photos, Xmas photos, and last year – Haley’s wedding! This is the second daughter who’s graduating from Parkview Baptist.
Hannah has a great personality and loves a diverse area of things – so we shot around town, starting with her horse @ the stable!

I just officially finished this trip’s workload (the shooting at least! Haha!) and I wrapped it up with the lovely artist/musican, Jessica “Mustang” Graves at the Dumbarton Oaks (oh man – that place is a stunning environment. I just know mom would love it!).
SIXTY ONE SHOOTS in two weeks and two days. Talk about nuts. Everyone was great to work with and again, I can’t emphasize that it is so great that so many are so flexible/willing to work with my schedule/locations especially working around so many different clients/work-family-life schedules in their lives.
All were a success. I made some good money, new friends, and learned new things (like I do every time I shoot) about DC and it’s surrounding areas.
Now, right now I’ll post a shot from each of todays shoot – gorgeous! And the other ones are just a few random self portraits I did at the Dumbarton Oaks while waiting for Jess to arrive.
